Should Penn State football Coach Joe Paterno retire after this football season?

  1. Not if he does not want to. He's earned the right to determine when he should leave.
  2. Yes, he's well past the time when he met the standards for recruiting, preparation and sideline management necessary to compete on a national level.

It is a shame he would have to leave with this black cloud over happy valley, but what is gone on and he was the head coach when some of this*****was going on its time to go.

Coach Paterno can no longer control his team or his staff. Even his son, jay paterno, doesn't have any sense of control. In the view of what's happened at PSU now, this should be the LAST season of Joe Paterno and his staff and they should all step down because they may be called into court at any time. It's clearly a time for a NEW generation of coaching that will lead PSU through the next 40 years.

Coach Paterno has had a stellar career...but...time to pass the "ball". He should always be on the sideline [or the skybox] and be visible to fans and players...he's a PSU fixture.
