The best outcome for the state budget in the next two weeks would be:

  1. Leaving Gov. Corbett's budget alone. It strikes on the right priorities and necessary spending discipline.
  2. Altering the governor's budget to reflect increased tax collections in the past quarter and using that money to restore some funding to public education and human services agencies.
  3. Overhauling the governor's budget. His spending cuts are draconian toward public education and human services and business and other tax increases could support increased spending.
  4. I don't have an answer because the budget process is too closed to the public to know what's really going on.
