What should be done to unravel the Affordable Healthcare Act mess?

  1. The act should be shelved, national healthcare coverage dropped and specific health care reforms should be pursued, including coverage of those not able to afford health care coverage.
  2. Leave the health care system as it was before this act was passed and implemented.
  3. The act should be delayed a year while the bugs in the website are rectified and tweaks are made to delivery of national health care.

I'm still wandering why the President would want to hurt the American people? What's the reward for him?-MECURY2

Why!! Because he can. The reward for him is transforming the country into a socialist state. Thanks to some brave people who have stood up to his skims, those of us who have seen this coming have a voice apposing this CHANGE.

You're just "spinning your wheels" if you like the President and his healthcare plan and comment on anything positive about the President or the "ACA" on these lame *** polls! You have a bunch of far right clowns who hate the President and will discredit him on everything (100%)! They're paranioa, I only want to hear one-side of the story and follow people like Cruz, Paul and the real wack'o Sarah. So save your breath (comments) because all you get is miss guided information. The "ACA" will work, just give it sometime to get the bugs out. The cancellation of people's health plans that are "junk" policies now want them back,so let them keep them. I'm still wandering why the President would want to hurt the American people? What's the reward for him?

Once I finally got on the site, I was able to sign up for essentially the same plan my employer was offering at a SAVINGS of $68 a month. I think the ones most negatively impacted are those who had a great employer plan before. Those of us who had employers that weren't interested in contributing much stand the most to gain from this Act.

Wow, the options they give you to choose from are awful. Shame on you, Sun-Gazette.

Does anyone honestly believe that they would not have received a premium increase without the ACA? After 20 years in business, I have never seen one year without a 14 - 35% increase. The more the claims cost the insurance company the more the rates will rise. Medical costs are a big issue in the cost of insurance. There are good portions of this law that will be lost if it is shelved, likely to the benefit of the insurance companies. Testing of the website and more planning before the release would probably been beneficial. I have wondered if the people that built the website really knew what they were doing, were operating under bias, or just afraid to lose the big bucks if they were up front and said they couldn't handle the task. All factors should be looked at in any consideration of this law not just personal opinion and bias.

We received a hefty increase on health insurance premiums at work, along with no cost of living increases or merit increases (effectively a pay cut).

I went on the government website to look t plans in PA. I didn't use the part where you actually put in your personal information and sign up, but the part where you can simply look at plans and costs. I found out it would be more expensive for me to purchase a plan on my own that is close to what I have through my employer.

If people qualify for help with premiums, I believe that's done on a monthly bases, but I have no idea how people who need help just paying the premiums are going to be able to afford the deductibles and copays.

Obama announced that insurance companies can reinstate cancelled policies for one year at the company's discretion. But after that year, they will be cancelled again. Just after the 2014 election. And just about the time millions of employer provided insurance policies are set to be cancelled. I really hope Americans hold everyone accountable that was responsible for this debacle. They can do this with their votes. Democratic leadership are scrambling to separate themselves from all this, but they are the ones that stood firm next to Obama on insisting that this legislation was bulletproof and guaranteed Americans they would not lose their policies or doctors.

Repeal the law that should have never become a law in the first place. It will collapse financially anyways. What a huge waste of our tax dollars.

Honest question for whoever edits/write these questions: Is there any way you could try to tone down the obvious bias of every. single. question. posted?
