How will you remember our nation's situation in 2013?

  1. The Obamacare debacle.
  2. The needless partial government shutdown.
  3. An escalation of worldwide tension and security threats to our country.
  4. Somewhat modest but nevertheless a recovering economy.

The ACA will last well into 2014 and beyond. While the silly shut down of the national parks will be unique to 2013.

Mercury- 4.7 Million people have been booted off of their plans because of Obamination care and Millions more have signed up for Medicare which will now be tasked with millions more enrollments and costs. You need a reality check on this horrible plan. How many more times will this president violate the constitution by continually changing the law as he so pleases? Last time I checked we did live in a Democracy, King Obama needs to obey the laws of the land. Wake up Mercury.

leaningright: You would be a lot happier if you would quit hating this President and save it when Hillary is our President! In states where they set up their own websites to sign up for the "ACA" it's working just fine. If you check most of these states New York, Kentucky, Calif, etc.that have these sites most have a democratic governor. So, I guess you are talking about states where republicans run the show these are the states I think you're talking about. I would suggest you contact Gov. Corbett(R) and ask why the states with,I'll say it again, their own state websites are working just fine."Stay healthy"! One more thing, in the state of Massachusetts where 98% of the people who live there have healthcare under "Rommneycare" which the "ACA" is useing as a blueprint. Just thought you would like to know that before you jump off the "cliff"!

"A new study has found that people enrolled recently in Medicaid went to the emergency room 40 percent more frequently than others, often seeking help for conditions that could be treated less expensively in a doctor's office or an urgent care clinic."

Capricorn1: Why,as you put it were people "booted" off their plans? I'll let you in on a little secret, because their plans DIDN"T meet the requirements under the "ACA". In other words they had high premiums and getting little coverage for what they were paying for when it comes to healthcare. This is the general purpose for having the "ACA" (more bang for your buck!) If you think paying a lot and getting less is a good thing, then you are right! The way you put it,once a person gets dropped by their insurance carrier they won't be able to get healthcare which we both know is not true. Now these individuals can "shop" for better coverage at a better rate! "Why would any president, republican or democrat make individuals be forced to pay more for healthcare, it doesn't make sense in the world of reality!" As far as the "medicaid", these are individuals who are poor or have no income at all and don't have the means to pay

If the top 1% who made most of the income in 2013 would quit putting the money in their pockets and instead creat JOBS like the republicans stated when Romney was running, saying, "if the top isn't making money they can't creat jobs,HELLO! I'm sure there won't be 40% of people getting "medicaid"and having to visit the ER. "Stay healthy"!

@Mercury2...Capricorn1 was quoting leaning right and then submitted a factually correct rebuttal. I would bet leaning right that the ACA didn't even affect him.

What a biased selection of responses to choose from. Pathetic flaming of the republican base in this region.
