Four PSU players in double figure scoring
LINCOLN, Neb. — Amari Carter led the Nittany Lions’ offense with 14 points as four Penn State players scored in double digits, but the Nittany Lions couldn’t quite rally and lost to Nebraska, 59-51, on Thursday in women’s basketball.
Siyeh Frazier scored 11 points and Kamaria McDaniel and Teniya Page both scored 10 points each for the Nittany Lions (15-13).
The Cornhuskers (20-8) held an 8-point lead heading into halftime and didn’t let Penn State rally in the second half.
Maddie Simon led Nebraska with 16 points and Kate Cain posted a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing an impressive 20 rebounds.
The Nittany Lions have one regular-season contest left when they host No. 14-ranked Ohio State on Sunday at noon.
The Cornhuskers finish the regular season on Sunday as well at No. 13-ranked Maryland, which lost against Michigan.
