Women’s basketball roundup: Wallace, Brown propel No. 3 Baylor

WACO, Texas (AP) — Kristy Wallace scored 26 points, Kalani Brown added 20 and No. 3 Baylor beat Kansas 88-51 on Saturday.

Dekeiya Cohen and Lauren Cox both scored 11 for Baylor (25-1, 15-0, Big 12), which shot 51 percent from the floor.

The Lady Bears didnát commit a turnover until 4:10 remained in the third quarter. They also took advantage of Kansasá 21 miscues and outscored the Jayhawks 34-3 in points off turnovers.

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — Asha Thomas scored 25 points and was one of three Cal players to hit a clutch 3-pointer down the stretch as the Golden Bears ended Stanford’s seven-game winning streak.

The Cardinal, down 11 to start the fourth quarter, pulled within 62-60 on a 3-pointer by Alana Smith with 4½ minutes to play.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Jessica Lindstrom because the all-time double-double leader and Green Bay outscored Youngstown State 21-0 in the third quarter and coasted to a win.
