ROUNDUP: Milton scores 5 in last at-bat to win

Milton scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to come back and beat Jersey Shore in high school softball, 11-10. The Black Panthers scored seven runs in their final two at-bats to win. Bayli Derr homered for Milton and MacKenna Miller drove in three runs.

Ashleigh Bair led Loyalsock to a 19-0 rout of Lewisburg by throwing a three-inning perfect game with four strikeouts. Bair also led the Lancers in batting by going 3-for-3 with a home run and 3 runs batted in.

Benton edged out Montgomery, 6-2, after jumping out to a five-run lead in the second inning.

Liberty put on a hitting clinic in its 12-2 victory over Bucktail as six players posted multiple hits.

Montgomery’s late-inning rally fell just short as Southern Columbia escaped with an, 8-7, win. Luke Forrestal finished with a double and home run.

Lewisburg pounded out 15 hits and scored in each inning as it went on to beat Warrior Run, 15-4.

Milton won four matches in straight sets to beat Jersey Shore in high school tennis, 4-1. Drew Pace won at No. 1 singles for the Black Panthers, 6-1, 6-3.

Hughesville won a pair of doubles matches without dropping a game in a 5-0 win over Muncy. The Spartans won all five matches without dropping a set.

Wellsboro’s Aaron Dillman and Garrett Carr won at Nos. 1 and 2 singles, and then teamed to win at No. 1 doubles in a 5-0 win over Williamson.

Brianna Jennings and Sarah Morse scattered 10 hits in a 5-1 win as Lock Haven’s softball team split a doubleheader with Bloomsburg. The Huskies won the nightcap, 4-3. Milton graduate Nicole Smith was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in the win for Lock Haven.

Mansfield’s Joe Candelmo three five consecutive shutout innings to close out a complete game, 7-3 win over East Stroudsburg in college baseball. The Mountaineers fell in the second game, 3-2. Joey Andrews and Anthony Renz each drove in a pair of runs in the win.

Lock Haven swept a pair of games from Mercyhurst, winning the opener, 13-2, before taking the nightcap, 4-3.
