Roundup: Williamsport Major Softball opens District 12 play by beating Clinton
Williamsport topped Clinton, 6-5, on the road in the opening round of the District 12 Little League all-star Major Softball championships on Monday evening.
Williamsport won despite committing three errors, because of a solid batting performance. They were helped by Amy Holzapfle, who went 2-4 with an RBI, as well as Alexis Berbordy, who had one hit in and drove in a run as a pinch hitter.
With the win, Williamsport will go on to pay East Lycoming on Wednesday in the tournament’s second round.
