Cutters win second straight in Aberdeen
Williamsport capitalized on 11 hits and five Aberdeen errors to win its second straight against the IronBirds, 8-6, Sunday.
Gabriel Lino once again pushed his batting average over .300 with a 3 for 4 day, including a double and his 17th RBI of the season.
Zach Green was 2 for 4 with two RBIs, and Andrew Knapp and Justin Parr each also drove in a pair of runs for the Crosscutters.
Williamsport scored four times in the first inning thanks to Green’s bases-loaded walk and a two-run single from Knapp.
Starting pitcher Jon Prosinski allowed just two runs in four innings, and Lee Ridenhour threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up his first professional save. Prosinski struck out five, and Ridenhour had two strikeouts.
The Cutters close the three-game series today.
