Cutters win behind Hiciano’s 8 RBIs

Samuel Hiciano hit two home runs and drove in a season-high eight runs as the Williamsport Crosscutters beat Batavia on Saturday, 11-0. It was Williamsport’s largest winning margin of the season.

Hiciano became the third Williamsport player this year to hit two home runs in a game, joining Zach Green and Andrew Knapp.

Hiciano got the scoring started with a two-run double in the fourth inning to give the Cutters a 2-0 lead. He then hit three-run home runs in both the sixth and seventh innings. His eight RBIs were the most for a Williamsport player this year.

Drew Anderson earned his sixth win, tossing five shutout innings. He allowed just four hits.

Keivi Rojas, Josh Warner and Tyler Buckley combined on four innings of two-hit shutout relief for the Crosscutters. Rojas, who lowered his ERA to 1.13, struck out three in two innings.

Justin Parr also had three hits and scored three runs for the Cutters.
