ROUNDUP: Lyco men’s soccer falls in NCAAs

The Lycoming men’s soccer team saw its postseason run end Sunday as it fell to Rutgers-Camden, 4-0, in the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Warriors’ string of not allowing a goal in 548 minutes came to an end when the Scarlet Raptors’ scored their first goal in the 11th minute with a Bobby Foster goal on a rebounded shot.

The Scarlet Raptors added two more goals in the half, with Connor Huff and Juan Rojas each finding the back of the net before Mike Ryan, who entered the week eighth in the nation in goals, added the final one in the 65th minute.

Penn State continued its season-opening dual weekend with a 22-12 win at Lehigh in college wrestling Sunday. Wrestling without four ranked wrestlers, head coach Cael Sanderson’s team won six bouts, and senior David Taylor notched his 100th career bonus-point win.

Junior Audrey Dotson tallied 16 points for Bucknell in a 87-49 loss to Virginia Tech in women’s basketball. Dotson was 7-of-16 shooting. Senior Shelby Romine, sophomore Sheaira Jones and freshman Claire DeBoer each ended the day with six points.

Junior Dan Woods won both the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly to lead the Lycoming in a 130-111 loss to Misericordia in men’s swimming.

Williamsport’s BethAnn Schwoyer posted a time of 2:20.22 to take the 200-yard backstroke as Lycoming’s women’s swim team fell to Misericordia, 174-85.
