ROUNDUP: Bucknell clinches home games for PL postseason

Andrew Andreychik carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning to earn his fifth win of the season as Bucknell held off a late Lafayette rally to win game one of Sunday’s college doubleheader, 5-4. The Leopards avoided a sweep with a 7-3 victory in game two.

With Sunday’s outcomes across the league, Bucknell clinched a top-two seed in next month’s Patriot League postseason tournament and will host a best-of-three semifinal series.

Andreychik improved to a team-best 5-3 on the year with another strong performance on the mound. He struck out a career high-tying eight and did not allow a hit until Andrew Landolfi singled with one out in the fifth after Bucknell had already built a 4-0 cushion.
