Golf tip of the week: Keep right shoulder moving through impact

Most high handicap golfers don’t follow through after impact. The right shoulder should continue to move around to the left after impact (left shoulder moves to the right for the left hand golfer).

It is not a difficult move; it’s a matter of keeping the right shoulder moving after the club contacts the ball. If done properly, the shoulder feels as if it is moving in slow motion up and over the left foot. Of course how far the shoulder goes has a lot to do with your build and physical condition, regardless; the shoulder should keep moving as far as possible.

Practice this move without a golf ball over and over, making certain to keep the right shoulder moving after impact. Incorporate the same move into your swing when playing and you will be a better player.

Don’t forget to enjoy this great game called golf.
