Cutters split road twinbill at Batavia

The Williamsport Crosscutters split their doubleheader with the Batavia Muckdogs Tuesday night, winning game one 3-2 and falling in game two, 1-0 in 11 innings. With the split, the Cutters are a game out of the wild card race.

In the first game, Mitch Gueller threw five innings of four-hit ball while giving up two runs. Calvin Rayburn threw the final two innings of the seven inning game and allowed one baserunner to earn his fifth save.

Drew Stankiewicz accounted for all three Cutter runs as he scored the first on an error and had a two-run double in the second.

In game two, Brandon Leibrandt threw a six inning one-hitter and Edubray Ramos threw three no-hit innings. Batavia’s third hit was Mason Davis’ solo home run off Manny Martinez.
