Montour reaches title game

It took an hour, an infield tarp, plenty of brooms and a village to make sure the Keystone Little Leaguers got in their game against. Montoursville on Thursday in the District 12 9-10 Baseball tournament.

Once the rain waters were finally cleared, Montoursville defeated Keystone, 11-8, in seven innings and advanced to the District 12 championship game. Montoursville will host the title game on Tuesday.

“We walked nine batters so we struggled there, but other than that it was a good game.” Keystone head coach Daren Stover said. “Two good teams played each other tonight and we had a chance to win it in the seventh inning and we just couldn’t do it. Hopefully, we can rebound and win our game on Saturday.”

Keystone’s Cayde McCloskey finished 3 for 4 with a home run.

Montoursville’s Maddix Delana went 2 for 4 with a double and a grand slam in the seventh inning. Ryan Kemell also had a solid game with three singles.
