Gueller struggles with command

Mitch Gueller walked three batters in 5 1/3 innings and surrendered two earned runs as the Williamsport Crosscutters lost to Mahoning Valley, 5-1, Saturday night.

Gueller fell to 1-4 with a 7.61 ERA on the road this year. The New York-Penn League All-Star fell to 5-4 this year.

Williamsport scored its only run in the seventh inning on an RBI?double by Jose Pujols. The 18-year old outfielder has three RBIs in his first two games with the Cutters.

Mahoning Valley pulled away in the bottom of the seventh inning with three runs, including two off of reliever Scott Harris.

Williamsport fell to six games out of the NYPL Wild Card race with just 14 games left to play.
