Local roundup: Seniors lead Montoursville boys

Montoursville seniors Quinten Persun, Calen?Ulmer and Aaron Cipriani all posted double figures on Senior?Night to help Montoursville defeat Canton, 63-36.

Persun led Montoursville with 18 points, Ulmer added 16 and Cipriani ended the night with 11 for the Warrors?(5-16).

Canton was led by Mason?Moore’s 16 points.

Montoursville heads to Muncy tonight.

Jeff Fry had a career-high 25 points while Maurice Brown posted a double-double to help?Muncy defeat South Williamsport, 54-50.

Brown scored 11 points and added 15 boards for the?Indians?(14-6).

The Mounties (7-13)?got an impressive 22 points out of Riley Thomas as Brock Jones added another 11.

Ryan?Emery scored 22 points, Logan Feltman added 14 and Milton beat?Central Mountain, 59-45.

In an NTL showdown, Mansfield dropped Cowanesque?Valley, 67-53. Dayton Wood scored 15 points, Bo Burleigh scored 11 , and Chandler Correll added 10 for the Tigers.

The?Indians shot 17-20 from the charity stripe, including Bryant Painter’s perfect 10-for-10 night en route to a game-high 17 points. Dakota Corwin scored 12 points and Tyler Melko cashed in on 10 points for the Indians.

Jahnae Hall-Gaddy and?Jaynell Robinson each scored 12 and Chloe Jennings added 13, but it wasn’t enough as Williamsport fell to Danville in overtime, 66-57, in girls basketball.

Jacquie Klotz scored 17 points, Claire DeBoer and?Audrey Dotson each put up 13 points and Bucknell edged out Navy by one point, winning 51-50, at Sojka Pavilion.

Brielle Kelly scored a game-high 17 points but it wouldn’t be enough as Shippensburg came away with a 65-49 PSAC East victory at Decker Gymnasium.

Charles Pemberton hit a critical layup late in the game and recorded a double-double to lead Mansfield to a 60-52 win.
