Lycoming announces 2016 men’s lacrosse coaching staff

Jack Spallone, a three-year letterwinner at Division-I St. Joseph’s University, will enter his first year as an assistant coach with the Lycoming College men’s lacrosse program, third-year head coach Chris Scanlon announced on Thursday.

He will focus on the team’s offensive, specifically the team’s attack and man-up offense.

Spallone completes the Warriors’ coaching staff, which will also feature third-year assistant coach J.P. Earp, a 2009 graduate.

Spallone earned three letters as an attackman with St. Joseph’s from 2009-11. One of the best players in Cortland High School’s history, Spallone was an Academic All-American that finished his career fifth in school history with 229 career points and second with 115 assists. He also played lacrosse with both the Onondaga Redhawks Jr. B’s, competing for the Founder’s Cup, and the Central New York Roadhawks.

Spallone also has seven years of experience in coaching club programs, working with the Central New York Road Hawks as an offensive assistant from 2009-11 before founding the Tennessee Revel Lacrosse Club in 2014.
