Local roundup: Williamsport girls fall to SC

Jada Whaley scored a team-high 15 points in Wil­liamsport’s season finale, but the Millionaires lost to State College, 52-32, in girls basketball Thurs­day night. Gabby Thomas and Fon­drea McClain both scored six for Williamsport (1-21).

Makenna Budman scored 11 points and Jayden Leigh­ow and Emily Akers added 10 each to lead Hughesville to a 46-19 win over Bloomsburg.

Michala Alexander scored 14 points and Quyn Berry added 12 as Mont­gomery finished the season with a 39-34 win over Canton.

• In boys basketball, Pat West put up a double-double in South Williamsport’s last game of the season, but the Mounties fell to Troy, 53-43, in boys basketball.

West had 12 points and 10 rebounds and Aaron Guerrisky had 18 points for South.

Jeff Fry scored 17 points with 13 rebounds and five blocks in Muncy’s 56-26 win over Liberty.

• Bucknell men’s swim team added three school records while competing in the second day of competition at the Patriot League Championships at Kinney Natatorium. Junior Chris Devlin had a hand in all three, setting a new top mark in the 200 IM, as well as the 100 back while leading off the record-breaking 400 medley relay.

The Lock Haven wom­en’s swim team fared well in the PSAC Champion­ships in York. Rachel Rod­riguez and Jackie Bingham both had their best swims of the season in the 200 IM with a 2:16.07 and 2:19.38, respectively.

In the 200 medley relay, Christina Williams, Kristin Allen, Carly Ray and Rodriguez swam a season-best time of 1:56.68.
