Cutters get postponed for a 2nd night
For the second consecutive night, weather interrupted play between the Williamsport Crosscutters and the Connecticut Tigers, as Wednesday’s contest was suspended after a 45-minute rain delay.
The game is scheduled to resume today at 11:05 a.m. with the Crosscutters leading the Tigers 1-0 in the bottom of the 4th inning, with no runners on base and no recorded outs.
After the completion of the first game today — in which the Crosscutters and Tigers will play seven innings — the two will play the second game of the doubleheader, another seven-inning contest, to conclude the series.
Williamsport is 11-9 coming off of Monday’s off day and sit 1 1/2 games behind first play in the Pinckney Division of the New York-Penn League.
