Montoursville dropped the final in the Little League Senior Baseball state tournament in DuBois Sunday to Pennridge.

Montoursville rallied into the final day after an opening loss Wednesday to Hatboro, 6-5, by defeating Four Leaf Clover, 9-3, Kennett Square, 6-4, West Scranton, 11-1, and Hatboro in a rematch, 2-1.

• In the major baseball Section 3 tournament, Williamsport earned a spot in the losers’ bracket final with its 5-3 win over Millersburg Sunday afternoon at Minersville. Kydreece Burks and Griffin Vollman pitched four shutout innings while Zander Richards earned the save, stopping a 3-run rally by Millersburg in the bottom of the sixth.

Adam Aldenderfer went 3 for 4 with two RBIs while Burks had a home run and Caleb Fausnaught and George Whaley each went 2 for 3 for Williamsport.

Williamsport plays Wellsboro today at 5:30 in the losers’ bracket final for a chance to go to the title game.

• In the Babe Ruth 13-year-old state tournament at Altoona Sunday afternoon, West End moved to 3-0 in pool play with its 11-8 win over West Moreland. West End fell behind 2-1 and 7-4 before scoring the games final seven runs to take control. Mike Collyer earned the win while Maddix Dalena picked up the save with a scoreless seventh.

Carter Sagan went 3 for 3 with a double, two home runs and six RBIs while Nick Barone was 2 for 2 with a double, a home run, three RBIs and three runs for West End.
