Montoursville’s Maddy Reeves won at No. 1 singles, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, in girls tennis over Rachel Thomas as the Warriors beat Hughesville, 4-1, to improve to 7-1.

Hughesville’s Kendra Smith won at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.

South Williamsport defeated Muncy, 3-2. Lily Summerson defeated Bella Rymsza, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 1 singles for the Mounties.

Muncy’s Faith Mihalik won at No. 3 singles, beating Lilly Storms, 6-0, 6-0.

The Mounties lost to Bloomsburg, 3-2, on Monday.

Kristen Bair won at No. 3 singles for Wellsboro, 6-0, 6-0, against Towanda’s Kelly Hoffman as the Green Hornets cruised past the Black Knights, 7-0.

Gorgia Macensky won for Wellsboro, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 4 singles.

Bucktail defeated St. John Neumann, 4-3. Sarah Jane Rathmell won at No. 1 singles for Bucktail, 6-4, 6-3.

The Golden Knights swept the doubles competition.

Lauren Cimino and Crystal Wells won for Galeton at No. 1 doubles, but four default victories helped Cowanesque Valley earn a 6-1 win.

Cimino and Wells won, 6-2, 3-6, 10-8. Cowanesque Valley’s Brynn Williams won at No. 1 singles, 7-6 (1), 6-4 over Cimino.

• Katie Penman scored twice to help Williamsport defeat Jersey Shore, 3-1, in girls soccer.

Jersey Shore’s Taylor Fleming tied the game at 1-1 just before halftime. Williamsport then scored twice in a two-minute span late by Penman and Talia Lewis to take the lead.

Sullivan County’s Madison Burke scored three goals, Sophia Springman and Bethany Beinlich both added two and Sullivan County defeated Northeast Bradford, 8-2.

Macy McCarthy added three assists for the Griffins.

After Milton took a one-goal lead to start the game, Montoursville scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Black Panthers, 3-1.

Leah Bergey scored for the Black Panthers before Montoursville got goals from Mackenzie Cohick, Lauren O’Malley and Kyleigh Balint.

Emily Ritner and Brooke Lininger both scored goals to help Warrior Run beat Mount Carmel, 2-1.

Ritner and Abby Staman both had assists for the Defenders (2-2).

Aleaha Bigelow scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Sasha McMonigle in the second overtime period to give Muncy a 2-1 win over Millville.

McMonigle scored the first goal for a 1-0 lead early in the second half before Millville tied it up with 12 to play in the second half.

Jessica Umpstead and Morgan Tupper each scored two goals as Montgomery blanked St. John Neumann, 6-0. Megan Chamberlain and Grace Bopp also scored for Montgomery while Addy Matz made 25 saves for Neumann.

Lewisburg and Central Columbia battled to a 2-2 double overtime draw.

Loyalsock had three goals from three players in a 3-2 win over Hughesville as Juliana Cruz, Charlotte Neylon and Sarah Van Fleet scored. Hughesville’s C.C. Getz had two goals.

• Sullivan County’s Lucas Schultz scored four goals, including his 50th career goal, to give Sullivan County a 7-2 win over Mount Carmel in boys soccer.

Schultz is Sullivan’s first 50-goal scorer since Jason Stoner in 2008.

Tyrese Hazzoum scored twice to help Warrior Run defeat Central Columbia, 2-1. Alex Hazzoum and Andrew Shultz added assists.

• Muncy defeated Milton, 5-1, in girls field hockey. Muncy’s Amber Temple scored twice while Lily Moyer, Kassidi Lenhart and Alyssa Schnell scored.

Milton’s lone goal came from Cora Sandrick midway through the second on an assist by Alecia McElwee.

• Warrior Run’s Vincent Bender shot a 73, second among all golfers at Frosty Valley, in a high school golf match, to lead the Defenders. Luke Burrows shot an 88 and Elliott Kelchner shot a 97. South Williamsport’s Bryce Brewer shot a 76 and Cole Brewer shot an 82.

• In Wednesday’s edition of The Sun-Gazette sports section, it was incorrectly reported that Loyalsock lost to Central Mountain, 35-33, in girls cross country. The correct score was Loyalsock winning, 25-33. The win keeps the Loyalsock girls cross country team undefeated at 7-0.

• Kyle Mizell and Keenthy Yeboah both scored goals to lift Lycoming to a 2-0 win over Medaille in men’s soccer.

The win improves the Warriors to 6-0, the best start in program history.

Lock Haven defeated Bloomsburg, 2-1, thanks to an overtime goal scored by freshman Shane Colegrove to help keep the Bald Eagles undefeated at home on the season.

The Bald Eagles posted 19 shots throughout the game.

• The Lock Haven University women’s soccer team was edged out in a defensive battle by visiting Bloomsburg in a PSAC contest, 1-0.

Central Mountain grad Bree Hilty was excellent in the net for the Bald Eagles and she recorded five saves.

After battling in the first half, Mansfield fell, 6-0, to East Stroudsburg in a PSAC game.

Lycoming freshman goalkeeper Madi Welliver, a Warrior Run grad, made four saves in 58 shutout minutes but Penn College scored three first-half goals as the Lycoming College women’s soccer team fell to the Wildcats, 3-0, in the annual Battle for the Lumber.

• Penn College’s Sophie Coldsmith led the Wildcats in assists (18) and digs (28), but the women’s volleyball team lost to Penn State Abington, 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 25-14).
