Muncy field hockey takes 3rd in tournament

The Muncy girls field hockey team took third place at their annual home tournament recently. Muncy opened the tournament by losing to Northwest. Danville beat Southern Huntingdon, 2-1, in overtime in the second game and Northwest blanked Danville in the championship, 6-0.

Muncy beat Southern Huntingdon in the third-place game, 4-3.

In the consolation, Kassidi Lenhart scored three goals for Muncy as Amber Temple had two assists.

Montgomery’s Abigail Felix scored the game-winning goal in the consolation for Muncy off an assist by Lenhart with two minutes to go in the second half.
