Local roundup: Lyco splits tri-match to end season

Double-doubles from senior Cath­erine Burger and sophomore Emily Morris helped the Lycoming College volleyball team finish a 3-2 come-from-behind win in the season finale to cap a tri-match at King’s College on Friday. The Warriors fell in the opening match of the meet, 3-0,, to King’s.

Bucknell put itself right back in the Patriot League playoff race with a 25-21, 26-28, 25-21, 21-25, 15-12 win over visiting Lehigh in a Patriot League volleyball match Friday night at Davis Gym. Bucknell entered (11-12, 5-6) the day two matches behind Lehigh for the fourth and final spot but now sit just one match back. Mimi Richards had two block assists, giving her a Bucknell record 106 on the season.   

• Lock Haven dropped a PSAC home game 3-0 (25-8, 25-20, 25-23) to Seton Hill.

• In field hockey, Tamia Roach scored twice in a six-round shootout and Lock Haven outlasted host Rider 1-0, as the Bald Eagles held a 2-1 advantage in the shootout.
