PC women fall to Elmira

In women’s basketball, Elmira College used a 24-point fourth quarter to separate from a one-possession contest in a 63-49 win over Penn College Monday night. Jane Herman led Penn College with 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Cassi Kuhns, a Loyalsock graduate, added 12 points and a team-best nine rebounds, while Aniah Ellerbee netted nine for PCT. Gwendolyn Lavell finished with a game-high five assists.

• In college wrestling, freshman Josiah Kline of Lock Haven University has been named the Eastern Wrestling Athlete of the Week. The freshman 125-pounder went 3-0 on the way to an individual title at Sunday Mat-Town Open.
