Warriors open year with a win

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Lycoming junior T.J. Duckett scored a team-high 18 points off the bench to lead six players in double figures as the 22nd-ranked Lycoming College men’s basketball team opened its season with a 101-81 win over Medgar Evers College on Wednesday evening at MEC Prep Gymnasium.

With the win, Lycoming 10th year head coach Guy Rancourt moved to 10-0 in season opening games while at Lycoming.

Duckett led six Warriors in double figures, with five of those scores coming off the bench as the Lycoming reserves accounted for 61 points. Junior Darius James led the Warrior starters with 13 points while senior Alex Newbold added 10. Freshman Ramadan Jennings scored 14 points in his debut

Sophomore Ronald Jefferson added 12 off the bench in his hometown.
