Local roundup: Jersey Shore boys beat Bellefonte

Nate Ewing scored 24 points, and Junior Armstrong added 19, as Jersey Shore beat Bellefonte, 60-56, Friday night in boys basketball.

David Hill, Jaiden Cioffi led St. John Neumann to an 89-20 win over Benton, Hill had three threes and 21 total points, Cioffi finished with 12 and Malaki Parlante added 10.

South Williamsport fell to Central Columbia, 75-53. Pete Sinibadi had 17 points, Tristan Weaver finished with 14.

Hughesville dropped first game to Hollidaysburg 65-47 at the Hollidaysburg Tournament. Matt Myers led the Spartans with 11 points, Taylor Mason added 10. Hughesville will play Juniata Valley today.

Kade Anzulavich scored 22 points in Warrior Run’s 76-38 win over Line Mountain. Gage Anzulavich had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Millville made a 15-point rally in the fourth quarter then outscored Sullivan County by five in overtime for a 45-40 win over the Griffins. John Saxe scored 17 points and had five assists, and Alex Baumunk had seven points and eight rebounds for Sullivan.

Kolby Moyer scored a game-high 21 points to lead Muncy to an 85-48 win over Bucktail Noah Rymsza added 17 points for the Indians, and Nathan Paisley has 12 points and 11 assists. Liam Dwyer led Bucktail with 14 points.

• In girls basketball, Wells­boro remained undefeated with a 63-42 win over Sayre. Tory Self dropped 24 points, Emma Poirier had 20 and Rachael Tuttle finished with 14.

Athens beat North Penn-Mansfield, 42-29. Emily Lunger scored 20.

Eva Rice’s 16 points led North Penn-Liberty to a 49-37 win over Troy

Williamson edged out Canton, 40-35, thanks to a 10-point effort from Williamson’s Hannah Deacon. Canton was led by Tamara Hess and Elle Binford who both scored 10.
