Mifflinburg beats Green Dragons in girls AAAA final

Lewisburg hung with Mifflinburg all four quarters, but the Green Dragons couldn’t quite pull off the win, as the Wildcats won the District 4 Class AAAA championship at Shikellamy on Saturday night.

It’s Mifflinburg’s first district championship since winning the Class AAA title in 2014.

Emily Sholly lead the Green Dragons with a team-hihg 13 points as Bethany Rippon chipped in seven.

Lewisburg played excellent on defense,not allowing a single Mifflinburg player to record double-digit points scoring.

Lewisburg held a 17-15 lead going into the half, but the Wildcats took the lead after the third quarter, 26-23.
