Montoursville grad McKibben joins Lycoming women’s staff

The all-time points leader and goal scorer at St. Francis University, Tesa McKibben – a Montoursville graduate — is set to join the Lycoming College women’s soccer team’s staff as an assistant coach in 2018, head coach Kenny Fern announced on Wednesday.

McKibben joins a staff that features second-year head coach Kenny Fern and fellow assistant coach Markus Rybak.

McKibben played five years professionally in Germany for FC Saarbrücken from 2014-16 and again from 2017-18. She currently plays for the Lancaster Inferno, a top level amateur women’s soccer team.

McKibben was a four-time Northeast Conference Player of the Year and NSCAA All-Region forward, leading the Red Flash to two conference championships and two NCAA appearances. She is the programs all-time leader in points (180), goals (70) and assists (40).

At Montoursville, McKibben totaled 130 goals and 60 assists as she earned all-state honors and led her team to the 2008 PIAA State Championship.

Her 130 career goals in high school ranks sixth all-time in District 4 soccer for boys and girls and is second all-time in Lycoming County history.
