LHU’s Slattery earns All-Region nod
LOCK HAVEN — An NCAA tournament loss on Saturday officially ended the Lock Haven University softball team’s 2018 season, but the awards continue to come in for the Bald Eagles and pitcher Bekah Slattery earned a spot on another all-region Team.
Slattery was named to the 2018 NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association All-Atlantic Region First Team.
This most recent honor comes after Slattery was already named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District 2 first team, the 2018 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II All-Atlantic Region second team and as a member of the 2018 All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Central Team.
She was also named the 2018 PSAC Central Pitcher of the Year.
After going 4-3 in the postseason, which included two wins in the NCAA tournament, Slattery finished the season at 20-7 overall. She had 219 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.60.
