With a tied game in the eighth inning, Megan Zimmerman scored thanks to a Lauren Watson bunt to go ahead before Madi Waltman forced Brandywine Heights to go down in order in the bottom of the inning to preserve the win.

In the  Class A softball state playoffs, Sullivan County’s offense couldn’t produce enough runs, as the Griffins’ season ended with an 11-1 loss to Claysburg-Kimmel at Penn State.
