7 MU players playing in baseball leagues

MANSFIELD — Seven members of the Mansfield University baseball team are improving their game in collegiate baseball leagues around the East Coast this summer.

Pitcher Billy Gregory is putting in his summer work just north of the border with the Elmira Pioneers of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL). Gregory owns a 2.94 ERA with 10 strikeouts through 18.1 innings of work with the Pios.

Pitcher Tyler Guidos and shortstop Brady Mengel are playing with the Allentown Railers of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League (ACBL). In 14.1 innings of relief work, Guidos has a 2.51 ERA with 25 strikeouts and five saves.

Evan McAndrew is pitching for the Covington Lumberjacks of Valley League Baseball in Virginia and holds a 4-1 record and 3.11 ERA.

Jake Manke is playing for the Hudson River Hawks of the Metropolitan Collegiate Baseball League (MCBL). Tom Heenan is pitching with the Dillsburg Wolfpack on the West Shore Twilight Baseball League (WSTBL).
