Golf tip of the week: Play the ball in the center of the club face

It is essential to place the golf ball directly in the center of the club face at the address position.

The center of the club is the center of gravity. The center line of the club is designed to produce the maximum energy at impact creating a higher moment of inertia, known as the sweet spot.

The center of gravity is approximately a 1 1/2-inch line down the center of the face. The fact is, the sweet spot is about the size of a dime dead center of the club face. Master club builders utilize a center of gravity gauge to ensure the club meets that criteria.

Don’t forget to enjoy this great game called golf.
