Cutters fall on road

After the Crosscutters tied the game in the top of the third inning, Auburn responded with two runs and Williamsport never threatened again, as the Doubledays closed a homestand against Williamsport with a 6-2 win on Friday night.

Auburn took a 3-1 lead in the third and Williamsport didn’t score again until scoring once in the ninth.

Matt Kroon led Williamsport by going 2 for 4 and was the only player with multiple hits. Seth Lancaster had a double for Williamsport.

Ben Brown earned the loss for Williamsport on the mound, going 0-2 after throwing 2 2/3 innings and allowing five hits and three earned runs.
