LHU’s Rudy named to US Masters Team

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven University field hockey coach Pat Rudy has been named to the United States Women’s Masters field hockey team.

The team is headed to Antwerp, Belgium, for the 2019 Grand Masters Hockey (GMH) European Trophy in June and Rudy will be joined by three other LHU alumnae as Jane (Shaw) Cygan, Pam (Whittaker) Sherry and Denise Gobrecht will be joining Rudy on the trip.

Rudy, who just finished her 23rd season as the head coach at LHU, was also a standout player during time as a student-athlete at Lock Haven. Her 65 goals remain among the Bald Eagles all-time top-10 for goals scored in a career.

This past season, Rudy made history, as she collected her 600th career collegiate coaching victory.
