3 face charges in county
Five people have been charged with various criminal offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the police departments involved were:
• Robert Eugene Martinez, 40, of 639 Fifth Ave., and Brandy Lee Ergott, 46, of 600 Park Ave.; city police; theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing scrap metal from the Used Mart, 616 Arch St., on March 28; Martinez jailed in lieu of $2,500 bail while Ergott is free on the same amount of bail.
• Tyler Burns, 21, of 2220 W. Fourth St.; city police; felony theft, receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle for allegedly stealing his grandparents’ van from the 2200 block of West Fourth Street on Feb. 18; jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail; the victims were Lloyd and Ruth Ann Burns.
