Sun-Gazette history book available

The long-awaited book chronicling the events and key figures that shaped the region over the past 200 years is hot off the presses.

“A Community Keystone: The Official History of the Sun-Gazette” by L. Lee Janssen, Sun-Gazette editor, offers up 448 pages of the past and present. Unexpected production delays pushed back the book’s availability until this Friday.

The opportunity to purchase the book at the special early bird discount of $29.95 has been extended until Sept. 1.

After that, the retail cover price returns to $39.95.

The volume includes 37 chapters of written history, as well as more than 500 photos, drawings and images.

It is available for pick-up and purchase at the Sun-Gazette, 252 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, beginning at 8 a.m. Friday.
