Lycoming County no new COVID-19 cases

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., May 23, that there are 730 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 67,713. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have cases of COVID-19.

Lycoming County has had 158 positive cases to date, Clinton 50 cases, Sullivan two cases and Tioga 16 cases.

Statewide there are 5,124 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 28 new deaths.

There are 328,382 patients who have tested negative to date statewide. Lycoming County has had 1,996 test negative to date.

The department of health reports the statewide recovery rate today as 60 percent. Individuals who have recovered is determined using a calculation, similar to what is being done by several other states. If a case has not been reported as a death, and it is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test (or onset of symptoms) then an individual is considered recovered.
