Lycoming County two new COVID-19 cases

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., May 30, that there are 680 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 71,415. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have cases of COVID-19.

Lycoming County has had 162 positive cases to date, Clinton 56 cases, Sullivan three cases and Tioga 17 cases.

There are 5,464 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 73 new deaths.

There are 366,970 patients who have tested negative to date statewide. Lycoming County has had 2,278 test negative to date.

The department of health reports the statewide recovery rate today as 66 percent. Individuals who have recovered is determined using a calculation, similar to what is being done by several other states. If a case has not been reported as a death, and it is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test (or onset of symptoms) then an individual is considered recovered.
