Lycoming two new COVID-19 cases

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., May 25, that there are 473 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 68,186. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have cases of COVID-19.

Lycoming County has had 160 positive cases to date, Clinton 51 cases, Sullivan two cases and Tioga 16 cases.

Statewide there are 5,139 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 15 new deaths.

There are 334,928 patients who have tested negative to date statewide. Lycoming County has had 2,031 test negative to date.

The department of health reports the statewide recovery rate today as 61 percent. Individuals who have recovered is determined using a calculation, similar to what is being done by several other states. If a case has not been reported as a death, and it is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test (or onset of symptoms) then an individual is considered recovered.
