City couple celebrates golden anniversary with friends and family

Thomas W. and Darlene A. DeBrody Boyle will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 2. They were married by Rev. Les Fullenkamp at St. Anthony’s Church in Falls Church, Virginia.

Darlene Ann is the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia DeBrody, of Williamsport. She graduated from Williamsport Area Community College as a licensed practical nurse and worked at Divine Providence Hospital. She also worked at Maxim Health Care and in the fall of 2018. Darlene served her country as a Marine and separated from the service as a Corporal in 1968.

Thomas is the son of Walter and the late Elizabeth Boyle, of Rahway, New Jersey. He graduated from Williamsport Area Community College with an associate’s degree in civil engineering. He retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in June 2003 after working there for over 30 years. He is currently working part-time for Larson Design Group as a transportation construction inspector supervisor. He served his country on active duty form 1967 to 1970. He served in the Republic of Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. He reenlisted in the Army Reserves in 1977 and retired from the reserves in March 1998 with the rank of Major.

The couple will be celebrating this milestone with friends and family.
