City’s high school sweethearts travel the country

Daniel and Trina Stark, of Buckeye, Arizona, formerly of Williamsport, will celebrate their 30th anniversary on July 22. The ceremony was held at Annunciation Parish in Williamsport with Rev. Joseph Elston.

The former Trina Lynn Johnson is the daughter of Lou and Elaine Johnson, of Williamsport. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1988. She is employed at the Buckeye Union High School District, Buckeye, Arizona, as a TSW transition technician with the school to work program.

Daniel is the son of Donald and Beckie Stark, formerly of Williamsport. He graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1987. He is employed as a safety and security manager at Bed Rock Inc. Tri-State Motor Transit in Glendale, Arizona. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a TSgt. in 2007.

The Starks began their journey as a couple during high school while in Williamsport and after graduation they got married and traveled together while Daniel served in the Air Force. They have lived in Japan, Washington, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Nebraska and Arizona. They have frequently come to Williamsport over the years to visit family and friends and to stay connected to their hometown.

They are the parents of Capt. Julian Stark, son, of Nellis AFB, Nevada, and Felicia Stark, of Las Vegas, Nevada.

The couple plans to hold a vow renewal on July 22 at the Little Vegas Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Several family and friends will be traveling from around the country to join in the celebration. The Starks also took a cruise to Alaska in June to celebrate their 30th anniversary.
