Muncy Library moves into phase two to reopen for the public

Following the guidelines from the Office of Commonwealth of Libraries, the Muncy Public Library moves to the second stage of re-opening procedures.

Patrons will be able come to the circulation desk to make copies, prints and faxes and to pick up materials which they have placed on hold. Intra-county lending is enabled and patrons may use computers for up to 30 minutes. Patrons may also drop off borrowed materials using the book drop.

Patrons needing to use a computer must call to make a reservation as space is limited by calling 546-5014, emailing muncy@jvbrown.edu or visiting the website, muncylibrary.com.

Currently, the library is unable to process in-person requests.

Patrons have limited access to the building. One patron is allowed at the circulation desk at a time. Stacks remain closed for browsing. Once a hold is ready, patrons will be notified by library staff to come pick it up. All patrons must use the back door only.

Masks are required and social distancing must be observed.

Book donations and in-person programs and meetings continue to be suspended.

The library is offering virtual programming for children K-3 through their Facebook site, Page Turner Adventures with Muncy Public Library.
