James V. Brown Library to host marketing workshop
The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., will host the free program, “Marketing Begins with Branding: A Workshop for Small Business and Nonprofits” from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 24.
Have you ever heard of the term “brand recognition?” Do you often wonder why it is important? Is this something you strive to achieve for your small business or nonprofit?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then this is the workshop for you. Join us in a fun and creative environment as the James V. Brown Library’s Graphic Designer and Artist Jamie Mahoney walks you through the steps of building a successful branding package and gives you the tools to use your brand to market your small business or
nonprofit.
Mahoney has a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Pennsylvania College of Technology and a master’s of fine arts in illustration from Marywood University. Mahoney has over 10 years of experience in graphic design, illustration, ceramic works, fine art photography, linocutting, block printing, and book making.
She is also a U.S. Army Veteran, serving 10 years in the military as a Military Police Corrections Officer and a Veterinary Services Food Inspector. In her free time, she loves to read, travel, hike, kayak, and spend time with her family and pets.
This program will take place in the Lowry Room on the third floor of the Welch Children’s Wing. Registration is required and can be made at calendar.jvbrown.edu.
This is one of the many ways the library supports the PA Forward Initiative by providing information literacy opportunities for learning. When Pennsylvania residents know how to use current technology to improve their education and enhance their skills, they can fully participate in a digital society.
