Speakers at city library to discuss great dinosaur movies

The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., is offering a free program titled, “The Lost Worlds: Prehistoric Cinema,” a discussion of dino-cinema from the Jurassic Park franchise all the way to Toy Story and its sequels. Library hosts ‘name the dinosaur’ contest

The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., is hosting a naming contest for its 2026 Summer Learning stuffy. According to a news release, this year, Summer Learning is all about dinosaurs, paleontology, and archaeology, so the stuffed mascot is, of course, an adorable green triceratops. This dinosaur will be joining other beloved mascots Orange the Library Lion and Tangerine the Tiger. The naming contest will begin Saturday, June 13, at the James V. Museum to share lecture on Lewis and Clark expedition
