Upcoming Good Friday concert at Jeremiah’s to feature six bands

At 7 p.m. tomorrow, six area bands will be coming together for a five-hour Good Friday concert at Jeremiah’s on the second floor of the Bullfrog Brewery. The show was arranged by Jeff Pittinger, the owner and operator of Pennsylvania Pipeline Music TV, who said he is “very excited” to help provide area music lovers a night of fun and entertainment.

“My favorite local venue, the Mill Tavern in Montoursville, closed recently, so I had to find another place (to host this show),” Pittinger said. “I started scoping out Williamsport and the surrounding areas, and Jeremiah’s at the Bullfrog seemed to be the perfect fit. It’s not the biggest room, but the location is perfect and it has lots of parking, and is well-lit.

“What better way is there to kick-off Easter weekend, than rocking out to six bands?,” he added.

The acts scheduled to perform at the Good Friday show include: The Betty Ford All-Stars, who cover groups like Deep Purple and The Cars; 44MAG, who specialize in metal covers as well as original tunes; Mallory Scoppa, who plays originals and covers groups like Fleetwood Mac and the Rolling Stones; Gabe Stillman, who plays the blues; Madness at Midnight, who play classic rock; and The House Band, who also play a mix of covers and original songs.

“I started putting this show together a little over a month ago,” said Pittinger, who is a member of the Betty Ford All-Stars, as well as other local groups like White Witch and Monster Track Supergroup. “It was pretty easy because the bands all know I will put together the best show I can with what I have to work with.”

Pittinger also mentioned that his affiliation with Pennsylvania Pipeline Music TV didn’t hurt him in regards to finding acts for the show. He said that his hope for the evening is that all patrons leave with a smile on their face.

“I made this show very affordable and there are bands from every age and genre performing,” he said. “There should be something for everyone and the price is right!”
