Patton Logistics Group donates coats to WASD

Steve Patton, standing left, CEO of Patton Logistics Group, delivers 400 coats for Williamsport Area School District students at Jackson Primary School in Williamsport on Monday morning. The coats were part of Operation Warm, which provides brand-new winter coats to children in need.

Patton Logistics Group of Milton, is one of the logistics providers for Operation Warm and the group will get 28,000 coats to children in need this year.

The Patton Logistics Group being the parent company of Patton Warehousing Patton Logistics, and Watsontown Trucking Company based in Milton, PA.

The relationship between The Patton Logistics Group and Operation Warm began with a 3PL logistics contract between the two organizations. Patton Warehousing a member of The Patton Logistics Group supplies 3PL logistics services for Operation Warm at their Muncy, PA fulfillment center. Patton Warehousing warehouses the inventory of brand new coats and shoes, fulfills and ships the orders to various communities across the United States who then provide them to children for low income families.

On hand for the coat delivery along with Steve Patton are students from the Jackson Community Culture Club and principals, office staff and school social workers. KAREN VIBERT-KENNEDY/Sun-Gazette
