Three face drug charges in separate cases
Amber Heather, 32, of 715 W. Third St., has been charged with two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance and illegal use of a cellphone for selling methamphetamines to informants on July 8 and again July 21 in the city, investigators with the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit alleged in court papers. The first sale occurred in the 700 block of West Third Street while the other was at West Third and Grier streets, police said. Initially jailed, she is now free on $50,000 bail.
In another case before District Judge Christian Frey, Chicane Barkholtz, 29, of 3731 Lycoming Creek Road, has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance and illegal use of a cellphone for allegedly selling one bag of methamphetamines to an informant in the 1100 block of West Fourth Street in the city on Oct. 26, according to NEU investigators. Initially jailed, he has since been released on $35,000 bail.
The judge also handled the case of Herron Mills, 30, of Philadelphia, who goes by the street names “Huskey,” who waived his preliminary hearing on NEU charges of delivery of a controlled substance and illegal use of cellphone for allegedly selling nine bags of fentanyl to an informant in the 900 block of West Fourth Street on July 1, according to court records. He remains jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.
