Two face theft-related charges in separate cases

Louis Edwards, 27, of Philadelphia, has been charged with theft from a motor vehicle, identity theft and access device fraud for stealing a wallet from a car and using a debit card he found in the wallet to buy $1,200 in gift cards at two area businesses on Nov. 16, state police alleged. The wallet was taken from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Northway Road in Loyalsock Township, police said. Initially jailed, he is now free on $25,000 bail.

In another case, Britney Metz, 21, of 324 Campbell St., has been charged with theft and access device fraud for allegedly racking up $429 worth of charges on Chad Delong’s stolen credit card in mid-August, according to state police. The card was stolen from a home in the 1600 block of Randall Circle in Loyalsock Township, police said. Following her arraignment before Judge Solomon, she was released on $5,000 bail.
