Court records: Arrested student was out on bail for other offenses

When Williamsport Area High School student Lucaus Adam Butler was arrested Tuesday night on state police charges for allegedly sending numerous threatening messages to two other students earlier this week, the 18-year-old was out on $100,000 bail in another case, according to court records.

In that case, Butler, of 1137 Pleasant Valley Road, Cogan Station, was charged by Old Lycoming Township police with indecent assault for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a minor on Almost Country Road in Lycoming Township in early April. He waived his preliminary hearing on that charge last week.

Butler was charged this week with nine misdemeanor counts each of terroristic threats and harassment, and was locked up in the Lycoming County Prison on no bail.
